Our Projects
NB All education for Christian children is private in the Middle East. Government schools are Muslim schools. Christian schools are mostly church/private schools and have to charge fees.
5GC runs (FOC) a small group for children 3-7 years called “Kids’ Club” for the children left out of kindergarten and reception primary school, due to ill health of child or parent/absence of parents/poverty/not speaking Arabic. Kids Club teaches the basic three RRRs in Arabic and in English. Plus socialising and development in games and play, Christianity and prayers. The objective is to prepare children to enter Christian primary school.5GC teaches English to adult refugees as a tool for survival and rebuilding their future. Classes are for the True Beginners through to Intermediate. Also introduces Western General and Social culture.

5GC runs parenting and relaxation classes for adults
5GC funds swimming lessons for children and teenagers and teaches sports in the summer
NB All healthcare must be paid for in the Middle East. Some Govt. hospitals are heavily discounted/free for the very poor and refugees, and a few clinics run by charities. Otherwise all healthcare is private.
5GC has a medical fund to cover emergencies, consultants' fees, X-rays, tests etc., vital everyday medicines for the very poor and refugees
5GC distributes food boxes at Christmas and Easter each year
5GC supports a residential summer camp each year for teenagers and young adults run by the religious Order of the Incarnate Word at Anjara, north Jordan. Also the local annual parish summer camp for young children.
5GC supports the abandoned and orphaned children with special needs in the home run by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word
5GC supports the parish of the Nativity in caring for the very poor and needy families of Bethlehem.
5GC supports the parish of the Holy Family in caring for the very poor and needy families of Gaza and a free clinic for malnourished and destitute children.
